Today I have to go down to the local youth shack and do some volunteer work that is required of me for my studies and I find myself unusually nervous, This will be the first time that I have put any of my studies to actual practice as I will be dealing with young adults who come from broken homes, who come to the youth shack to have a chat and interact with people who understand them.
Im also extremely Happy to be finally getting out there to make a difference, even if it is to only one persons life, because alot of these kids have attempted suicide due to there misfortunes in life, so this place is a sorta second home for many of them, a chance to talk about how they really feel and get the love and support they need and deserve..because most of the time these kids come from broken homes with alcoholics and drug addicts as parents which infuriates me so I wont even get started on that subject(another day maybe)
So yeh wish me luck on my journey to save a life. have a good day all
