Today, has been a good day. A productive day. A day when I learnt a few things, which is always nice. A happy day. A day I began to feel I belong here :O)
A day when I learnt that my new town does have a public transport rush hour, and got stuck right in the middle of it!! Today most schools went back after a two month break, and so, after a trip to the shops, trying to get my two buses home was a nightmare! The first isnt a bus, more like a pick up with two benches in the back, and they kept driving past and past absolutely rammed. So half hour later we finally get on one, and get squished!!! Then I have the same fun on the bus home too. Before I would have been frustrated and impatient, but India has taught me to go with the flow, after all, I had nothing to rush home for, so no need to stress!!
However, I think after a week of having to battle with a packed out bus full of my students every afternoon, I might be getting a little annoyed!! Watch this space.
Strangely, even though the town was full of kids in crisp, new uniforms today, we don't start teaching until a week on Monday, and now I cant wait to get into it!!
Had a couple of successess today, finally exchanged the last of my sterling, managed to exterminatet eh office of ants and just felt a lot more at ease and at home with the others in the office, really nice vibe in there which makes me happy!
Have had an amazing dinner of duck and crispy pork in a Thai style mushroom sauce, and have organised my wardrobe, had a tidy up and tried to get my head around our lesson plans.
Feeling good, feeling happy, feeling content.
Still feeling like it'd be nice to have someone to share this positive vibe with, but hey, I can't have everything!!
