Well, I've been in Thailand nine days now. Tonight is the first time we've seen rain since I arrived, perhaps monsoon is on its way, and hopefully things will be a little fresher and cooler tomorrow. I was impressed that even though the rain came heavily for a fair while, there wasn't even a hint that a power cut was likely. I'm getting used to things working so much better than in India very easily!!
Not that everything is quite perfect here. Power I have. I also have a few cracks in my ceiling which are leaking, one right over my bed. At least I can monitor when the rain stops and starts without looking out of the window!! Just another little language barrier I'll try to overcome tomorrow when I attempt to explain the problem to Toey downstairs. I will learn Thai, I will!
After an early start and hectic day I was looking forward to an early night tonight, but its past 1am here already. I don't know what's wrong with me and this new nocturnal streak!! Atleast I can have a lovely lie in tomorrow, before I do bus and then red-car to Big C to get some more things for my room. I'm already much happier with it tonight, finally it is resembling home. I wonder if i'll sleep better now I've turned around my bed. I'll sign off and find out!
Very random first entry I know. But I have my official blog for the events of my life listed in a logical way. Here I have a place to ramble just like this! I don't mind who does or doesn't read, but its purpose is more for me, whereas my travel blog is very much for everyone else, and a bind to complete at times I'll tell ya!!
