I'm excited! After 24 years off and a week and a half of struggling I'm officially re-enrolled in school! I've actually even attended one class!! (Classes started on the 20th)
The good news though is that I finally met with a couple of advisors today. My major had been Sociology. By making that my minor, I only need one more class to finish it. It turns out that I didn't really need either the 3rd or 4th class that I was struggling to get in to, so God's timing is always good!
I also found out I could drop one math requirement so I only need 1 math, 1 writing and 1 science class to complete my curriculum. Praise God! I'm finding out that the sign program is a very hard program to get in to but I'm not worried too much about it. If that's where God wants me than He will open the door. Wish me luck! I actually "start" the two classes I ended up with tomorrow.

You know that is sooo funny. I recently enrolled in school after a 24 year break myself, I was in the Army for 22 years... I look so forward to attending on the 5th. Excited....

ugh! I am avoiding math like the plague my first semester at least! I'm taking beginning sign (which I've already had) and Phil 156. Critical thinking. It shouldn't be too bad a way to ease back in.

God didn't put you in class, you put yourself in class. That way of thinking will only screw you over in the long run. Keep matters in your own hands, that way they are more likely to come about. Congratulations on YOUR efforts, I hope they pay off.

Learning is always good.
It expands your mind...and gives you things to think about.
Study hard.

Oh yeah...I study Sociology independently. I have some textbooks on it. Very interesting subject. You will never get bored.

Thanks for the encouragement Heizo!
No sir, keeping matters in my own hands got me drunk, addicted, abused, abandoned and generally miserable! My LORD, God, Creator and Savior Jesus Christ holds all that I am. My life goal is to use it for His glory in whatever means He desires. If that is deception it has certainly led to a better lifestyle in the past 13 years than in the 30 before it! I'll take it!

Just walking around campus is a study in sociology. It is so funny! While some things have changed, others are exactly the same.

Do you have a cool backpack?
I have taken classes on and off throughout my life.
I am wanna be professional student.
I think I just enjoyed carrying a backpack..it makes me feel young.
I packed it with all sorts of cool things.
I think I need a class!
Maybe a sociology one.
Then I can come over and act real knowledgable on the subject. hehe

I do have a cool backpack. It's only got one strap and is ergonomically designed. Sadly tho, it's not green. (or blue either) :o)
