Wow! Does time fly when you're doing life! I made it through the semester (having never been so glad to see a C+ in my life!) and was working on my summer and watching Larry deteriorate.
Through a series of God inspired events that I will elaborate on later, we made it into the home healthcare system and had a doctor come to the house and examine Larry. She diagnosed him with Congestive Heart Failure and told him he could try Lasiks at home for a few days. He continued to expand. When I called the doctor back, she told me to put him on the phone. In a few moments, he handed it back to me and she said "call an ambulance and get him in there before he changes his mind."
The Constructive Sleep Apnea had gotten so bad that by day 3 (June 22) he was faced with 2 choices; have a tracheostmy (sp?) or die. We were given a 20% chance of him making it through the proceedure. (Although, as one doc put it, your chances are 0 or 100) He came sailing through. GLORY BE TO GOD!! Then they weren't sure if he would wake up. He did, right on time. GLORY BE TO GOD!! Then they weren't sure he would ever come off of the ventilator. They had him down to 12% oxygen by the end of the first night and popped him right off the next morning. GLORY BE TO GOD!!
BUT.....although we have started to get control of the sleep apnea which has destroyed his right heart, we still have a man suffering from uncontrolled diabetes (sugars currently in 200's) CHF, Morbid Obesity (dropped over 100 lbs water, still at 472) and a slew of minor illnesses and infections. He is still in Intensive Care and waiting for a bed at an Acute Long Term Rehab Hospital. He is still needing 45 to 100% oxygen support and is dealing with all the gunk Richard talked about in Anna's Blog.
PLEASE PRAY: That God would heal his heart. That the CHF would be resolved. That the gout in lft hand and rt foot would be resolved. That all infections would be resolved. That God would send angels to comfort him through this fearful time.
It has been prophesied over him (long before now) that if he would do his part, God would heal him. He is a changed man. We stand on that promise.
I probably won't be able to get to my computer much, but please know I will eventually respond and I appreciate your prayers.

Jesus, I pray that you would move on Bro. Larry's body, mind and spirit right now, and make him completely well. In Jesus name, Amen!

Almighty God, how faithful and merciful you are. I come before you to be cleansed before I make this prayer. Forgive me, Jesus, for any undesirable act I have done in your eyes. Mighty Healer, I ask you to breathe your healing Spirit upon Brother Larry. May His Spirit and Your Spirit unite in a healing bond, healing Larry in mind, body, and spirit completely. May your heart of healing, Lord, pump the healing, renewing energy into Larry's weakened heart, making it strong again. Thank you Almighty Father for your goodness. Thank you for your son Jesus, Lord and Savior of life. In Jesus name I pray unceasingly. Amen!
