Just bits and pieces of me
As I've been reading blogs of people I know and people I don't know I realized that we, as writers, that we are in control of how much of ourselves we reveal to our readers.  We tend to just give small passages from delicately chosen chapters from our lives.

So I've decided to open myself up to answer questions you might want to ask and I'll give as detailed answers as I can.

Don't be shy...ask me anything.  Almost nothing is off limits.  Notice I said "almost anything"...I reserve the right to double-talk myself out of a subject I'm not comfortable discussing...but generally speaking, I'm comfortable talking about anything.  I am long past being embarrassed about things I've done in my life....they're all learning experiences with giant signs that say, "do not do again" or "this should be done over and over and over again"

Ok...please don't let this be an empty post with no questions.  I'll be forced to ask myself questions and I'm not sure but I'd probably ask some pretty stupid questions........So please...ask me...

I'll be waiting...

What was your most embarrassing moment? :)

My most embarrassing moment...hmmmm...let me see. Ok, ever since I was a teenager I have talked to myself...out loud. I would actually have conversations with myself..it was my way of figuring things out. I was working at a check-in station for a campground...I got a phone call from a customer wanting to make reservations but I had to ask him to hold on while I took care of a customer at the window. Well I forgot about the guy on the phone; I had just set the phone down behind me. I was sitting there for no telling how long talking to myself, as I often did. About 20 minutes later I kept hearing a voice saying, "hello, hello".......the dude was still on the phone...I had been talking about some crazy shit too...I was very embarrassed...

Wow, I would never be able to reveal that much about me all at once. There are somethings that shouldnt be told... You are very honorable to this.

What was the happiest moment in your life? What moment made you think, "If I had to relive today over for the rest of my life, then that would be okay with me."

Best wishes,

Since you said "one single day" I'll have to pick my daughters 20th birthday. She was living in Florida and I was home in Kentucky. I got in touch with one of her friends and set up "the big surprise". I had her plan a birthday dinner at a restaurant for all of my daughter's friends to celebrate the day. I flew into Tampa on the day of her birthday and hid out at her friend's house until the party. First I stopped in at a gift shop to buy two shell rings...my daughter and I used to share shell rings but she had broken hers, so I picked a couple new ones up. I got to the restaurant a few minutes before she did and hid out in the bathroom until all her friends got there; they were waiting outside until the table was ready. After all her friends got there I asked the hostess to take the shell ring and give it to my daughter. I was standing in the doorway and the line of vision was blocked by the hostess. She handed her the ring and then stepped aside and my daughter looked up. She had begun to cry when she got the ring...she just thought I had it sent there...and then when she saw me it was the absolute most perfect moment in my life to date. For a mother to see her child so extremely happy to see her...for her to break down crying and to hug me the way she did.........I could have died right then and felt my life had been complete.

I only allow myself to appear embarrassed. If I didn't, no one would comment.
