so it's been quite some time since my last entry, lol, and what actually got me to thinking about getting back on here was a paper that Mr. A had to read for one of his classes about "why we blog". It was kinda interesting, but at the same time didn't have a whole lot of "new" information, lol, it was pretty basic that people tend to blog about their personal lives as a way of working through their problems through writing, or to share information like through technical blogs, and so on...anyone who has ever read a blog could have figured it out! but it was still pretty cool for me to see the kind of stuff that my Mr. A is studying!
So yesterday was 5 months for me and Mr. A! lol, seems like longer, but then in a way it still feels brand new! I still get excited every time I get to see him, I still get the lil twiter in my stomach every time I say I love you!
I spent Turkeyday with him and his family, that was pretty interesting! lol, there were no mashed potatoes! There were mashed sweet potatoes with marshmellows, there were garlic mashed sweet potatoes, but no real, plain mashed potatoes...that kinda made me sad. Then the green beans weren't what i expected either! I have to give his mom a lot of credit tho, she tried really hard to make things i liked. Like she knows I don't eat purple foods, so when she made the salads, she made a special plate for me with no "red" cabbage, which i thought was very sweet. Then my favorite veggie is green beans so she made sure to make green beans....but the green beans had canned tomatoes, and garlic with them...it was alright, but again not what I expected! Then the stuffing....the stuffing was sour dough bread cut into lil pieces and mixed with lots of mushrooms....lol, don't get me wrong I like mushrooms, but this was A LOT of mushrooms, and it still tasted like sour dough bread. awh and a lass the pumpkin pie...his granma didn't use any seasonings...none! it was just the pumpkin mix from the can, with evaporated milk...the whip cream was home made with NO SUGAR...so not really what i'm used to for a turkeyday dinner. Aside from the food not being at all what I'm used to, I had a really great time! His family is awesome!
Anyways, we had a Fakesgiving dinner on Sunday at our friends house, and I made the green bean cassarole, and I made homemade turkey gravy from the juice in the turkey pan, and there was an abundance of mashed potatoes, and regular pumkin pie! lol, it was good time!
