| My first blog |
Hey guys. My name is David Armstrong and this is my first ever blog. I am 20 years old and undertaking an arts degree, majoring in Sociology and Psychology, at Deakin University. I am hoping to work as some form of counsellor. I have started writing these blogs as I have four months of summer holidays ahead of me and had really wanted to get into something like this online.
So a bit about me. Probably my greatest interest is Music. I have been playing the drums since year 7 and Bass Guitar since year 11. I have played in school jazz bands and play the drums at my church, yet I am still to fulfill my dream of having my own rock band to jam or gig with. Fingers still crossed for some day though ;-) I spend a very large amount of my time listening to, playing and thinking about music as well as reading about my favourite bands. Other than that, I'm also quite a movie buff, read a fair bit and I'm really into comic books (yes I'm a bit of geek, but I'd like to think I'm a reasonably trendy one).
I come from a Christian (Protestant) family and attend the Uniting Church, but Politically I'm reasonably left leaning. They're an interesting combination, but I can't really see things any other way.
