No relation to time spent with kids. The problem is our high schools are run like prisons so we get prison behavior. The real answer is to charge big bucks for attending school so only those parents that can afford to send their kids to school or those kids that show exceptional scholarship attend. This would eliminate all those who are not motivated or interested and those that are can learn without distractions. |

i have counseled over 5100 kids, and that is as far from truth as you can get. time with kids is critically important, and quality time doesn't replace quantity time. they need both. |

penumbra88 is insane.
I don't have kids...but I used to babysit, and I can't tell you how many parents hire babysitters or nannies around the clock so that they never have to deal with their own children. It's disgusting how many parents treat their kids like just another fashion accessory. |

Good for you Buck. I agree, kids need quality time. They also need a dose of reality. There are consequences to every action. Show them what lack of job skills equates to in how people live. Show them what happens to violent offenders. Nothing like a little volunteering at a homeless shelter to get a better picture. |

I believe in this day in age people do not give thought to who their childeren are going to be when they grow up. They through whatever they want at them so that they will leave them alone istead of spending time with them and molding them into productive decent human beings. |
