| An awesome blog from you this morning Davis (at least it is morning here as I write). It is most thought provoking and yet simple in its message. Thank you for that and God bless you as always. Elaine |

A very good lesson from the water melon seeds and God's blessings. Thank you Davis.
Note: I have a question that is not relevant to this entry, except that it is also about water melons. I'm just wondering how people grow seedless water melons? Many water melons today are absolutely seedless. I love plants and it makes me wonder...... |

Ellie, I thank you as always for your kind words. I learned long time ago that God is my source of everything I need in this life. Without Him I am nothing. May you be blessed.

Davis,
Peace.
I am intrigued by a line in the "I am the branch you are the branches..." passage. A line which says "you have been pruned by the word..." What does this mean?
God bless,
Juan |

Greetings Juan:
Thanks for the visit and thank you for this great question.
This passage is founded in John 15:1-2. "I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He "takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.
Remember, no plant produces fruit instantaneously; fruit is the result of a process. Such is also the case with us as believers. We prune the brances in order to produce better growth. For the brance to produce more fruit, ti must abide, which means to dwell, to stay, to settle in, to sink deeper. The way for us to abide in Christ is to learn to obey. The believer who lovingly obeys the Word of God produces much fruit.
Juan I hope this provides you with the understanding you are seeking. I am always availabe to answer any question you may have. Just send me a private email and I will answer.
Much love,
Davis |
