Went golfing this afternoon with Ginger Balls, a golf pro I met a few months ago while taking lessons.

The golf was good, and he was a fine teacher. Honestly, i much prefer these activitiy dates to dinner or drinks. I was supposed to go on a hike tomorrow with some owner of a NASCAR team, but I haven't heard from him. Whatever, I've got five lined up for the next week, so I am not going to pursue anyone if they are not truly interested.

So Ginger Balls and I are talking about best dates, worst dates and the constant miscommunication between men and women. I bounced the Frat Boy incident off of him and he was puzzled. "Gay" was the best he could come up with. Why does everyone go there? Even my gay friends say the same thing. You know, in my messed up head, I am sure that the fact that Frat Boy said no has made him even more attractive to me. Why do women love the unavailable ones so much?

But back to Ginger Balls. As you can guess, he is a redhead. I don't care for them much, but he was nice and athletic and very sweet during the lessons. However, there just wasn't any spark, you know? I can have a decent conversation with just about anyone, and usually they are having a good time because I can make them laugh. But someone who I find truly witty, someone who can banter with me? That is rare. So, usually the guy is having a great time and I am just giving my usual patter. I can do it in my sleep. A guy who can make me think, now that makes me spark.

But no spark with Ginger Balls. Plus, he had those weird white eyelashes like an albino bunny. I don't know why, but they freak me out.

He sent me a text afterwards saying that all the talk about dating gave him blue balls.

B) how funny he claimed blue balls when I had already dubbed him something similar in my head

So moving on.

I have been emailing heavily with two guys, both from the midwest. One seems nice, but a little aimless. The other is very funny, let's hope he holds up in person. Meeting him for pizza on Friday. Fingers crossed!
