Kevin Rudd, Prime Ministerial hopeful, has been caught with his pants down – and he may not be able to get them back up in time for the election.
Kevin Rudd, on a taxpayer funded visit to the U.N. drank too much and ended up at ‘The Scores’ “gentleman’s club” (a club where no self-respecting gentleman would be found). Rudd was reportedly warned by the club’s management for acting inappropriately.
Mr Rudd has admitted he made a mistake and apologized. Also stating that he was too drunk to remember details of the night. (I think there was a Russian President with a similar habit).
So what is the big deal?
Kevin Rudd is running for the position of Prime Minister. A large part of his campaign is ‘honesty’, ‘Christian values’ and ‘family values’. It seems to me that the last two, after this revelation, have negated the first making him look to be more of a ‘sleeze’ than a Prime Minister.
Kevin Rudd admits making a mistake. Do we really want a Prime Minister who makes mistakes?
If he were to be elected this will reflect on the nature of all Australians painting us all with the same brush.
I can almost hear the voters changing their minds as I write this.
