Swine Flu And AIDS

     I am sure that everyone has heard about the swine flu. People got scared thinking that they were going to catch it from someone. Heck even i got scared. I thought that i was going to get it from someone at school. But luckily that didnt happen. I feel really bad for the people that did get it and the people that died from it. But there is a point that i would like to bring up.

     Well around that time people were sending those text messages that say that you should foward. I got one from my friend and i thought that it was really interesting. I dont exactly remember what it said but it said something like, "thousands of people get the swine flu and people start wearing masks yet millions of people get AIDS and no one wears a condom." The message was not saying that no one uses condoms it was trying to say that a lot of people are careless and dont wear condoms to protect themselves.

     I agree with it. I know that there are smart people out there that do use protection and i know that there are other people out there that dont. This needs to change. I dont understand why there are still people who dont bother to use protection. I hear the same excuse, "it feels better without a condom," or, "it wont happen to me." Wake up people! It can happen to you. You might think that you are imune to it but it can happen to you. I am still a virgin and i know that the first time i do it i will be using protection.

     I feel soooo bad especially when young people get it. They have their whole life ahead of them and because of one night that they didnt use protection their life changed. I understand if maybe you got raped or something like that but the other people that knew what they were doing what is their excuse? I know that i am ignorant when it comes to AIDS but i am just talking about what i know.

     I saw the people wearing masks when they heard about the swine flu i just wish that there were more people using protection when they hear about people getting AIDS. I really hope that I did not offend anyone. That is not why i wrote this. I just wrote this because i thought that it was an interesting topic and i wanted to share with my fellow bloggers.

     So let me know what you think. Let me know if you knwo someone with AIDS or someone that got the swine flu. And if i offended anyone please forgive me that was not my reason for writing this. Thanks for reading.

Daniel, what an excellent post!! You know ALOT of what you're talking about! I have known many people that have died of AIDS, unfortunately. Its very sad and in today's society, people should automatically want to use condoms when having sex, not only to prevent AIDS, but STD's as well as an unwanted pregnancy. I could never allow myself to have unprotected sex in some form...its just NOT the thing to do.

I worry about swine flu, but not overly. I wash my hands everywhere I go. I even carry a small hand sanitizer with me now in my purse. I try not to be around too many people that could be sick and just try being aware of my surroundings more. There isn't much you can do to contact things, but you can use preventable measures to stay well.

Thank you soooo much for the comment. I am happy that you saw what i was trying to say. I definately wish that there were more people that wore condoms and other protections but we cant control everyone. And i also am more aware of my sorroundings and wahs my hands and stuff like that just so that i wont spread any germs.

Its amazing how masses of people think. I don't know anyone with AIDS or Swine Flu, although I have heard of people knowingly trying to give others what they have because they feel they need revenge.

Swine flu is a concern but honestly I haven't really thought about it. And it could happen to me, I don't deny that. One day, though I doubt it people will learn.

Thank you for the comment and i have definately heard of people that have aids who decide to give it to other people just for revenge. Why do people think like that? And i too hope that one day people will just learn.
