A lot has transpired since my last post. I believe at some point I was determined to blog about every day of my trip. I think I still have a few days to go on that. . .maybe I'll get around to it. My daughter got married last weekend. It was spectacular and I enjoyed it thoroughly. The aftermath of stuff that returned to my house is a little overwhelming, but I'll eventually get it sorted out. The co-op outdid themselves on the meal and everything turned out exactly as planned.
My father had a serious back operation and it went well. The miracles of modern medicine. They basically went into his broken back with a little tube and filled the cracks with cement.. Within hours the cement had set and his pain was all but eliminated. Age and weakness is making his recovery slow, but he looks pretty good to me. He's using a walker now and his scooter/wheelchair was delivered today. I'm just glad his spirits are good and he feels positive about his returning health.
The ghetto girlfriend has disappeared from my son's life. That was some good news. He is still looking for full-time work and is stressed about that, but overall his attitude is much improved. Kinda nice to be around him for a change.
School is almost out for summer. I am considering my options for part-time employment. I might teach summer school, but really would just like the summer to relax. That would be a first for me.
I took the most incredible pictures of the Eifel Tower when I was in Paris and had one of them enlarged. It's amazing and makes me want to return. I'm going to take my income tax rebate and put it in the vacation fund. I gotta start thinking about where my next adventure will take me.
Ok that's enough of my blabbing. Time for sleep. |

its amazing how your stuff sounds like mine...the ghetto girlfriend, thats something I would have said, but so far, I havent had that particular problem, but my oldest daughter was going with a "townie" when she was at St Marys of Notre Dame and it was a darn shame since she had all those nice smart catholic boys to play with across the street at Notre Dame, but nooooooo, she chose a townie from south bend who drove a coca cola truck, another story...thank God she did not marry him, but she came dangerously close!
