A Soul’s Introspection
Why is it so hard
For me to talk about You
I can’t seem to find the words
To tell others the good news.
I can talk about the weather
And all sorts of other things
When when the topic turns to You
I tend to turn inward.
I should be shouting
With the joy of your good news
Instead of turning inward
Holding a dimly lit candle.
Teach me to be more open
Confident in your grace
Pour you word out of me
Like rain out of the sky.
