 enough ranting...
How about something worthwhile to think about for a minute or two? If you could grow to be like any one person you've known in your life, personality-wise, who would it be and why? Most likely this will turn out to be the person you admire most... As for me, it'd be my grandmother, Ada. So mild-tempered and kind. She saved her 3 year old son from drowning in a deep well that she had to climb down inside to get him out of. She had to wait for 3 hours before anyone came to get her out... holding her traumatized son in her arms the whole time. Amazing. She was always there with a hug and a kind word... never overreacting or berating you... even when she disagreed with you. I can't imagine wanting to be anything more than she was... She was beautiful. So that's my answer... please, if you feel inclined, leave your answer to the question in the comment section. I'd love to read your experiences... =)

great question...

for me the answer comes quickly. i would most like to be like my dad. he was the best father a son could hope for. my mother was also the best mom, but i am a man, and now a father too. now it is my turn to raise my son… to teach him right from wrong and the responsibilities that he has in the world. i hope that i can be as great of a father to my son as my father was for me... Thanks dad!

Thanks so much for responding Jason. That was a great answer. It's nice to know that there are still close-knit families out there like yours. Families are what our society is built upon... so... the healthier the family... the healthier society can be. =)

Great question to put to the readers..!

My inspiration and the person who I would most like to be like is my grandmother. Her name was Ida, Gran to me. Sadly she died shortly after my first child was born, she had had cancer for a long time but held on long enough to attend my daughters christening.

She was a good woman, forthright, kind, always whistling i remember. She made toffee and fudge that we always looked forward to eating when we visited, she had been a cook before the World War 2 and bringing up her family, one of which is my father.

I miss her still, her strength and clear and straight forward nature im sure would have been invaluable to me going through my twenties and early motherhood.

Bless her. x
