I believe that today I have witnessed a start to a peculiar coping mechanism which I think is a big healthy step up from the old smoking pot and drinking my sorrows away. Though I have always felt a great comfort in shopping for clothes when I'm feeling down ( a bit pathetic but we all do what we can), it was today that I found myself summoned to a magic land of lingerie at the local mall. I gave into the lustfull bliss of lacy corsetts, seductive garters, and naughty santa-inspired suits (which i've always found a bit disturbing to be honest....why would somone at their sexiest fantasy want to dress as a fat folklore character from Lapland?!) But the point is, all my troubles seemed to melt away as I took a few ridiculously trashy numbers into the dressing room. Yes, there, staring at myself through 5 surrounding mirrors, wearing a red, nearly non-exixtent bodice, I felt genuinely relieved of all stress. Needless to say I spent more then appropriate amount of time in the shop, and did obtain a few uappreciated stares from the bypassers through the windows, but I was pleasantly surprised that my credit card did not take a beating from this trip. On the contrary, out of the 15+ items I tried on I walked away with that non-existent stringy bodice, and an innocent pair of crotchless ruffles panties :) So whether it was merely the appreciation of my own ass in the mirror, or the distracting fantasies which you cant help but imagine while trying these things on, or just the anticipation of getting busy in that thing in the future (which you promise yourself will be mindblowing), lingerie shopping really did the trick and has snapped me out of a long lasting shit mode which holidays seem to bring out of me as I get older. Sorry to have grosed out anyone that did not appreciate the visuals....in which case you should have stopped reading a while ago. For all other lingerie lovers, I wish you the same mood boosting success as I have experienced.
