A new friend demanded I post something new. I've not had much time lately to do much of anything I enjoy but, for you, I'll fire off a little something.

     I could say a lot about Glenn Beck. He makes it easy. It's as if he had a third foot grafted to his body for the sole purpose of sticking it in his mouth while keeping the two others free to make him a mobile idiot. He uses a "Muppet voice" at inappropriate times, talks without thinking, and cries when convenient. I could say a lot about him, but I'd rather not. I'd, instead, like to refer to one instance of his buffoonery. He seems to think he and his FOX News bedmates are the persecuted Jews of the journalism world. I'm confused. I've obviously missed something. One of two things happened that I was unaware of:

#1) The Obama administration has started rounding up FOX employees for systematic annihilation or

#2) the concentration camps in WWII were full of people who had tough questions for Hitler.

      His insinuation is that FOX has been the butt of White House jokes and been excluded from press conferences because they don’t play nice. When I watch the news, it's full of complaints about Obama, harsh critiques of his policies, and stories about bad decisions he makes; although, more journalists seem to like Obama than liked Bush. That's true. In fact, of all the news networks, FOX was the only one that seemed to be pleased with Bush at all. Their positive slant, however, crossed the line from “bias” to “adoration”. They did everything but publicly form a line and plant loving kisses on his presidential derriere. Their guy didn’t win this time around and now they’re rabid over it. The lovechild of Ghandi and Mother Teresa could be President of the USA, but if he/she was a democrat, FOX would be first in line to proclaim he/she is the foreign-born, gay-hugging, abortion-loving, Marxist-socialist-communist anti-Christ. FOX News isn’t included in the press corps for the same reason E! News doesn’t have a White House correspondent: it isn’t a true journalistic organization. The Daily Show has a better fact-checking department than FOX. That’s sad. I love Jon Stewart, but he’s a comedian, for crying out loud. FOX is inconsistent, unreliable, and so slanted to the right that I’m amazed their headquarters doesn’t resemble the Leaning Tower of Piza. If you listen to Beck, which I don’t recommend on an empty stomach, you’d know Obama’s stance has nothing to do with the content or quality of their journalism, and it has everything to do with how a dictator runs things. First, they’ll silence the #1 news channel in America, then talk radio, then any other organization whose employees dare ask tough questions. Barack Obama is on-track to become a brutal dictator. “You've missed the point of many brutal dictators,” said Beck, “you missed the point on how they always start.” Really? I had no idea guys like Pol Pot and Stalin promoted peace, equality, diplomacy, understanding, and health coverage for those who need it shortly after excluding a hilariously biased cable network from functions – not silenced – just excluded. When Bush was in charge, FOX News was the equivalent of “State TV” in China except the Chinese are too smart to give Steve Ducy a job doing anything other than hand out free chicken samples on toothpicks. Rather than go down the path of rational thought, Beck chooses to relate his company’s plight to that of the Jews during the time of the Holocaust. It’s not only insulting to my intelligence, but it’s insulting to those Jews. Yes, the Jews were persecuted. That doesn’t mean it’s similar to FOX’s situation. It’s more like keeping a habitually violent drunk from gaining access to a dance club. That’s right, Glenn. You’re not Anne Frank. You’re Danny Bonaduce. There is a HUGE difference. Beck, O’Reilly, Hannity, and the lot can’t see that because they’re wholly incapable of understanding anything that isn’t spelled out for them in crayon on the back of a Steak ‘n Shake placemat… or "The Drudge Report".
