Drug Testing & The Student Athlete

Drug testing a high school student athlete because he or she is playing a sport is nothing, but an act of discrimination. Playing a sport dont make a kid a drug addict , the only fair way to have a drug testing policy is all or non. Starting with the school board , the superintendant , teaching staff, staff, support staff , bus drivers , & All of the student body. ALL OR NON.

Amen... but let's not stop there. I have to be drug tested in order to keep my job...as a painter no less. Let's test all who whold any type of positions of authority and whose lives and lifestyles are critical to the financial wellbeing of others. I once worked for a contractor who ordered random drug testing of his employees. His business went bankrupt and all employees lost their jobs. Why?...because this guy ran the business into the ground because of a crack cocaine habit!!!!

For "Thehughman1": Crack is serious. If your in highschool and you have smoked weed it doesn't make you a criminal. And it certainly shouldn't keep you off the sports teams. Drug tests like that aren't going to have the kid stop drugs. It's going to have the kid stop playing the sport which would most likely lead to more drugs. If the kid is smoking dope let them be. If they starts smoking crack in the locker room before a game then yeah do something. NO kidding.
