 What I can't understand!
We have so many old-fashioned Christians in this world. There is nothing wrong with being old-fashioned. I just do not like how they put down the modern church. O.K., maybe I put down their old, stuffy, brute, style of worship too. I am just as guilty of condemning the old-fashioned types as they are of condemning the 21st century style of church.

What we need is to accept both, but not degrade both. I can accept that some people are uber-conservative, just as long they won't put down cool people like Joel Osteen and Doug Pagitt who are doing God's work.

I understand this "debate" a bit. Our Church has a "traditional" service at 9:00 a.m. and a "contemporary" service at 10:30 a.m. on Sundays. The difference is in the style of worship and the older folks tend to go to the traditional service. I would go to the traditional service if I weren't busy doing other things early on Sunday.

There is certainly room in Christianity for various doctrinal viewpoints and worship styles. We certainly shouldn't be bickering about these things.

it is all a [sign] of the times, this church age we all find ourselves in is world wide. if it didn't matter [how] we worshiped, then god would have stated it in his word. does music and the way it is played have an [effect] upon it's listeners??? if certain music didn't affect listeners, then rock bands would have given up long ago. there is a one world religion or [christian] church arriving upon this planet and it will b ruled over by the antichrist, way b4 [the real] jesus christ comes 2 rule this world. will he find true faith upon this world at his return???? regards steve
