 bad mood
DO NOT READ THIS. i AM IN A VERY BAD MOOD AND HAVING A VERY BAD DAY AND I NEED TO GET THIS OUT OF ME BEFORE I HIT SOMETHING.

So i went to talk to my Spanish advisor yesterday and was amazed. She was perpared, had my transcript pulled up and knew what classes I needed. She even talk to my other advisor to see if there were any classes for my other major I still needed. The meeting went well and I should be done in december  except for my two week trip to mexico to finish my Spanish major that isn't until january.

So i'm psyced. I track down my media advisor  and make arangments to talk to her today. Just need to check on a couple of classes that my Spanish advisor didn't know about. so i go to talk to her and shwe wasn't there. no problem she will be back in twenty mo9nutes so i grab lunch and come back to find her busy. come back in half an hour.

granted this is nothing to get all pissy about but it is the icing on the cake. ever since i came back to school it has been one thing after another and i'm ready to quit. six classes til graduation and i am ready to quit. first problems with my boss. they arange my hours so i can't take classes. so i quit and find a new job. the new boss decides that i am too valuable so end up with half my classes online. then i loose my internet connection so i change positions and loose hours. i have had my job threatened three times in the last two years because i won't quit school. I've lost hours, lost pay, and get stuck with all the slackers doing the shit jobs all because i wanted to be a journalist.

then the best part all the problems at school. between a struggling media program, class room fights, slackers wanting to copy my homework because they are failing and i get A's. not to mention stuidents taking over the class and teachers not inforcing the rules or teaching us anything so we have to retake classes. and advisors that pay no attention to our transcripts. and that doesn't even include this semister. I have had it. my media degree is going down the garbage shoot and i don't care. i am ready to drop it.

the only reason i added spanish as a second major was the positive experiences i received from it. she is a wonderful instructer. i have had the opertunity to teach at grade schools. our projects allow freedom of expression while still focused on the goal. she is tenitive to her students needs and maintains control in the classroom while allowing it to be an informal learning environment.

so why do i keep persuing a media degree. I am learning nothing in the classes, I won't be able to use it outside of school. i will be starting over when i transfer to a four year school.

Why do you keep persuing a media degree. Because its what you've dreamed about doing for year, traveling the world taking photos and writing articles for the national geographic, it's why you've kept every article of the national geographic for the past few years, why we lug boxes and boxes of magazines from house to house when we move. It's where you first found your answers on love, and I will do my best to make sure our dreams come true. We'll make it to Africa babe, you'll be doing the job that you love, and in the end this will all be worth it. Just hold on, and one day this will all just seem like a bad dream. I love you. Always & Forever!
