Thai Scorpion Man
Feeling a weight on his consciousness for selling these creatures to restaurants a 37 year old family man, Suang Puangsri endeavors to save as many black scorpions as possible. Being immuned to their painful bites Thai man home is basically filled with them. The former insect-breeder even purchases scorpions from others in his area whom were about to sell them to restaurants as a popular dish in Thailand. As same like as the intelligent octopuses and the marvelous, playful dolphins I am against seeing such unique creatures as scorpions served as cuisine. Unless I was surviving in a brutal, African desert and have no other choice. Insects do contain proteins and other nutrients. (I am curious on how a roasted locust or chocolate ants taste.) We are aware people will eat most anything these days. It is still hard for me to imagine why anyone would consume cooked snails or southern fried devil dogs. Sorry, I hope you are not losing your appetite.
So this scorpion savor might had witnessed an overkill in the restaurant industry to meet their customers' demands. How honorable his actions might be Mr. Puangsri is reminding me of the lonely, old woman who crammed her apartment with fetal cats. Because she loves them! Yet there are too many cats for her to care for and her home becomes a health hazard with uncontrolled amounts of cat hairs and feces. Therefore this one man crusade to save the scorpions probably tested him beyond his economic means likely weighing greatly on his wife's and child's welfare. There are other factors in addition beyond the control of the scorpion man. Suppose there is a bad, tropical storm (cyclone for example) threatening destruction upon his home. Would he seek to save his family along with thousands (4,500) of biting insects? The man would have to make a tough choice. What is your viewpoint on this news item, you may comment below if you wish.
