 Mr. Obama Addresses The Students
Some parents feared that US President Obama's speech to school children would endorse a political agenda they do not favor. The parents may had worried about that kind of influence upon their children and forbidden them to be in attendance or watch the President speech. We have in mind scores of families are against President Obama's health care reform, could that be a factor? The White House did submitted a copy of the speech in advance to public schools to address those fears of the parents. The schools allowed parents to decide whatever to allow their children to attend school to hear it. I do feel it is important for adults to monitor what may affect their children including their recreation, associations. If such parental objectives is done for their best welfare.
He gave his speech yesterday afternoon, did you hear it, what do you think of his message? Engaged in other activities or at work I did not listen in. However there are videos below of others giving their reactions to the speech including students. Here is the sad part-after the Obama administration addressed the concerns of the parents; a certain number of them may had reflected a poor attitude before their young ones. Was their public protest another avenue to display disregard to a national leader? We realize that we do not have to have to support a noble's agenda in order to show due respect him or her. I do find it a mark of consideration how schools gave ear to the concerns of the parents.
Again it is my wish not to engage in politics. I do however question the conduct of the opposing parents and others speaking out against the US President before he made his speech. In addition if parents and guardians are worried about unfavorable influences upon their young ones, what sort of positive examples are they exercising day to day? Children can in live in societies filled with badness, yet their parents exemplary conduct and hard work to teach, guide them could have a winning impact. Isn't it a opportunity each day (or during each week) parents could communicate with their children to understand their concerns and feelings of what they are seeing, hearing, learning daily?

I didn't find it very inspiring. In my opinion there was too much patriotism. I feel that he could have conveyed the message with using more international terms. In the end, what we do doesn't stop at our country. It affects the whole world.

Random,

Thank you for your comment. I do not know what to say about the speech. I still had not heard the whole of it. But if it is about patriotism I express my preference be listening instead to the sermon on the mount by the great teacher.
