This Does Not Have To Happen To You!

My Ordeal came to life Friday April 11, 2008. I thought I was doing all the right things. I just didn't see this one coming. I am a Wood Floor Contractor with My wife. We did all the estimating, repairing, installing, sanding and collecting just the two of us. This Friday started off like all of my Fridays in the past. I collected checks for work preformed the week before or work finished that week. This Friday was set apart from all the past by one thing. I began to have cramps and uncontrolled hungry. This was out of charity for me. Over a year ago I began an organic lifestyle and had lost 60 lbs. I felt great and had ample energy. My body was being cleansed. This particular Friday was cut short by me having to come home early after experiencing very intense pain in my gut. The pain would arrive every 15-20 minute and produce sharp pain lasting about 30 seconds. I endured this form Friday to Sunday Morning when sitting on the side of my bed exhausted from form the excruciating Pain and lack of sleep. My lovely wife at the foot of the knew something was serious I just didn't look right to her. She ask if I was OK, I said sure as she handed me a small trash bin. The moment I touch the bin I begin to violently throw up. The pain intensified and at that moment I knew I need Medical assistant. From the beginning My lovely wife was right there to help as much as she could. From that moment and for the next 4 weeks all responsibilities for our household was placed on her shoulder. My wife called a minor emergency clinic and she drove me there. At this point I could barely stand. As we entered the clinic I was in such pain I had to return to our truck to lie down. By the time I was seen by the doctor I was in the most excruciating pain I had ever experienced in my life. The doctor immediately called the Midwest City Hospital to admit me. He Knew I was in serious trouble. After being admitted the first thing I receive was some meds for the pain. After receiving the meds it was the difference of day and night in pain relief. After all the test they discovered a total blockage in my lower colon and it was cancerous.

PLEASE DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU.
If you have not had a colonoscopy and you are between the age
of 45-50 years of age or older get one now.

This year alone about 108,070 people will develop colon cancer.
About 49,960 will die.

I was Fortunate to have been on an Organic Diet as well as eating a Probiotic Super Food. The cancer was Localized and all was removed. The news of me have cancer was like the freezing of a computer screen. I didn't know what to think. Me with cancer, how could that be. It all went back to all the bad foods I ate years before. So many thoughts racing through my mind. My Wife, Children and my business. How will I survive with no Insurance and no income. The surgery took placed on April 17th 2008 and went very well.

Being faced with a Hospital Bill of Over $50,000 and Not being able to work for 8 months or more was very depressing. After four week of recovery I thought I could get back to work for about 4 hour a day, with my wife doing most of the work. I was wrong in a big way. There was a small job I could do with my wife help that would keep funds coming in. I didn't see this one coming either. I getting up and my hand slip and I pull the muscles in my stomach in a big way. That was May 12th 2008 and I was back in bed for two weeks recovering. My wife informed me the doctor said It would take about 6 months to recover. Now because of my age (54) I feel I will be changing profession. What do I do now?

This is it for the next four months I don't have any means of support. State benefit and other services we didn't qualify for because of our gross income. And I mention Gross because our net income is less than half of our gross.
