| who's that girl? |

Sail on Silvergirl, sail on by, your time has come , to shine , all your dreams will find you now.
I have made several paintings of silvergirl, over the years. As a woman with her hair furled out as a banner, standing on a sailboat, as the moon over troubled waters, as both, as the sailboat itself, I haven't gotten it right yet.
I love the lyrics to that song, my emotional connections to it are strong. Why is the portrayal of "silvergirl" so elusive to me?
I have no trouble painting , it is the essence of the song, I don't want to trivialize it,
as in a too lushly romantic girly thing. And it is 'bridge over troubled waters', do I make the bridge prominent? or not? too much, I will try again.
Wish me luck, I'm starting over.
