 Getting a Dog soon...:)
This past weekend my grandma and uncle came up from Austin, Texas. It was a short visit and the reason they were visiting was so my uncle could fix my backyard fence and for me and my grandma to do some serious yardwork. It was actually a lot of fun. My wooden fence was in poor, poor shape. He fixed it and it looks really nice. It will last until I can afford to get a whole new fence. And my yard actually looks nice. I love it. I actually like doing yard work now! :)

So, after they left I started thinking about getting a dog. I always had a dog or dogs growing up and I LOVE Dogs! I always said that I was going to get one when I got my own place, but I got my own place and the fence was horrible. So I couldn't get a dog, etc. But its fixed now and now there is a decision on what kind of dog to get. I know that I want a female dog and I don't want a little dog. I am looking for a good medium sized dog that does not have a long hair or has to be shaved. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions on some good breeds of dogs? My mom has two labs and I love them to death but they are so wild. I want a dog that can travel in the car with me and that can come in the house and not destroy it.

Whatever dog you get, I suggest going to your local animal shelter and adopting from them. You will be saving a dog from being euthenized and they usually come spayed and/or neutered and vaccinated. My dog is a whelter dog and it worked out really well for all of us. Good Luck!
