So in the last few months I have watched movies like I Am Legend, Resident Evil(the newest one), and few other movies with the same kind of core plot.  So these movies gets me to thinking because in history things have been thought of and wrote about way before they happened or were made or whatever and usually just for stories for entertainment purposes.  Like airplanes and trips deep in the ocean or to the moon.  
Scientists in labs all over the world are doing genetic testing.  We all can only imagine what kinds of things they doing.  Most of these scientists are doing all of this testing in hopes of helping the world like maybe finding a cure for cancer or Alzhiemer disease.  I also think it would be safe to say that there is testing going on in unknown government labs (maybe our government or some other countries) in the name of war and we can only imagine what kind of atrocities are happening there.
So then all that makes me think of the what ifs and the fact that imaginative writers through history have somewhat been prophets of our world without meaning to.  What if all of these screenplay writers are making movies about events to come.  I mean in all reality these things are all possiblies.  Viruses that changes mankind into zombie like creatures because of genetically altering something.  It doesn't have to be that everyone turns into zombies, but maybe that all humans just die from some man-made super bug.  Or maybe they go ahead and try to make these gourmet children where they alter the genes before they are even implanted into a womans womb and everything goes astray and well I don't know what could happen but maybe some strange mutations that change mankind forever. 
I'm just saying these things make me scared of the future a little bit.  What will come of us, of mankind as we know it? 
What I have already talked about is just a small part of what threatens the balance of our little world, like the global warming stuff and nuclear bombs.  There's also the possibility of outside forces like giant astroids and aliens that could take our planet out.
Now of course I don't sit in my house and worry about these things for hours and days and let it control my life but sometimes when I see one of these movies or read a book about these things, I do think about whether or not that our creative writers of the world are just predicting the things to come one day.
