Depression they say is sadness or the blues that lasts for more than 2 weeks. Things like disappointment and loneliness can bring on depression. I am bipolar and I have had to deal with many episodes and I would suggest that if you think that you are depressed you should seek help. No matter the cause, depression still feels terrible and crushing. When you get help and start feeling better it is then that you realize how bad you felt.

Give yourself some time. Even if this guy has a change of heart you should tell him that you need some time to figure things out. Being a single mother a full time duty and yeah it has some rewards but for the most part being a parent is a lot about giving a whole bunch of yourself to one other person and not expecting a whole bunch back (like you don't get a nice hug and kiss when you won't let your daughter play with that very dangerous item that she was really really interested in, but I know you get lots of little rewards as a parent but it all depends on ones perspective). Like I said, take time for you and think through things. And don't give up on love, be careful and guarded, but don't give up all together. And when it comes to life, there is no playing by the rules. Life is always a mess. Use your heart, not the rules.

Hello there. I just read a few of your posts here and I don't know the whole situation however I few suggestions for you. I am bipolar and I don't remember having the mood swings that young. I have read up on bipolar in child as I have children and I am worried that one of them will be burdened with this terrible disorder. Most of the time they are moody and seem to have lots of tummy aches and a hard time sleeping. I always had tummy aches which when I think as an adult I was having anxiety issues and I have always had a hard time sleeping. However, lack of sleep by itself will cause all of the above and makes one over tired making it harder to fall asleep.
On any note you need to find a good child psychiatrist or maybe you just need to get your daughter sleeping better. Maybe you could give her some childrens Benedryl. Doctors often prescribe patients in the hospital Benedryl as a sleep aid.
I know that you are worried about her hurting herself or someone else. If you can't get a sooner apointment for her, just keep a real good eye on her and keep her safe. I know that sometimes with children that is way easier said then done. I hope for your's and your daughter's sanity that you don't have to wait though. I wish you good luck and hope the best for you.
