I live with my girlfriend and her two kids.She is the most wonderful woman in the world.The kids dad is gone and i mean really not coming back.(will explain that another time). I truely LOVE these children. They are my kids!!! They call me daddy and i know they have no knoledge or memory of thier "sperm donor". I do all I can for them, they are my kids!I may be a little bias but you really have never seen a more beautiful girl, or handsome little man in your life.I hope thier real father is never an issue, but is that fair of me?I'm not worried about being fair to him, because he hurt my baby boy and thats why he's gone.(jail). But if I dont tell the kids about thier father(i use that term loosely) am I being selfish?

It might be their bio's mom call to let her tell them about their bio dad.
Though IMHO you mean more than bio dads do, especially since you seem so caring.

My suggestion is wait until they are old enough to understand.
Answer their questions then.
Never lie to them, try to be as honest as you can without hurting them too much.
You seem like a great Dad.
If you respect them, they will respect you.
