 Whats that...no...no...it cant be...it...it is!!!
It's feckin' SUNSHINE!!

Today I am in a very jolly mood.

First day back at college, after two weeks off for Easter. I had a great morning with the girls, chatting away about this, that and everything else, everyone wanting to put a hand on my now very expanded belly and feel the amazing acrobatic baby (s/he moves alot these days, s/he seems to like the tone of certain voices)

I should have been grumpy, this is the first morning in two weeks I've had something specific to wake up for, I couldnt sleep in (I get very lazy during holidays) but this morning it was easy. Why? I turned over in bed and to my genuine amazement, there was this mythical thing...this rare and yet beautiful sight peeping through my bedroom curtains...the SUN! Shining! Here, in England! This is unprecidented. We had no summer last year at all, so you'll forgive my seemingly over the top excitement...but really, its amazing what a little sunshine does to people, especially over here.

Old ladies can finally take those bloody plastic things off their heads, out come the flip flops, every retired man or bloke with the day off heads out to mow the lawn, the park is full of those mums who normally take their little 'uns straight home after playgroup, but suddenly decide to let them have a go on the swings first...its like somthing from a musical, I almost skipped to college.

You can tell spring/summer are approaching here in several ways...first, and this applied more when I was a kid, the blossom trees come into flower. Daisies shoot up everywhere (although you dont see them as much as you used to, I wonder why), there's a strong smell of cut grass, suddenly its not just the smokers hanging around outside at lunch time, Tesco get rid of the Easter egg ailse (boy is it fun for someone like me as they try to get rid of the surplus ones and sell them for like 50p...mmm...chooocccooollllaaatteee...) and replace it with a DIY & Gardening ailse...when every other advert on telly is for B&Q, Homebase or holidays.

I realise this could all go tits up at any time...sunshine now...but I wouldnt be surprised if tomorrow it pissed down with rain again. Such is the weather here. But that matters not one jot to the great British public today, for we have learned to revel in the good weather while it lasts, BECAUSE it could end at any moment.

So yes...everyone has gone a bit nuts today, but so what? People are SMILING, and thats nice.

As for me...I've lost my marbles along with everyone else. Like I say...I practically skipped to college, a ridiculous smiled slapped on my mush, humming away and grinning like a Cheshire cat at anyone who made eye contact with me.
Why the hell not? What have I got to be a miserable bugger about??

You ever had that wonderful feeling that everything has slotted into place? Well, I have that right now. I got my tickets to Newcastle sorted, ten days from now I am on my way to see my love (he still has no idea!), 15 days from now we will find out the sex of our baby, 17 days from now I turn 27, I'm 3 months away from my big move, 4 months from being a mummy and five months away from starting a degree at Uni. I have the most gorgoeus, wonderful, sexy, funny, smart, tactile, caring and all-round PERFECT man...and life is GOOD.

Happy Monday to you all, happy spring, happy summer...HAPPY DAYS!!!!!

Peace and love to you and yours xxx

P.s the song uploaded is ELO's 'Mr Blue Sky', one of David's favourites, and, I thought...very apt. Hope you like xxx

Cheb, you are my ray of sunshine. I always feel better after reading your blog. You may not believe in God, but you make me believe in angels.

Through the rain and blustery wind over here, I lived vicariously through you and the UK weather today! It's supposed to be sunny and warm tomorrow, ah.........can't wait!

Also can't wait to hear the sex of the baby, smile.
