Waddaya know...I made modern art! :-)
A few months back, I dyed my hair dark brown. I had always been a blonde, but that dark blonde that looks grey in some lights. I had always wished I were a brunette, so I went for it, and I much prefer it now.

Well last night I proved that even though now on the outside I am a brunette...inside I am still very much a blonde...

So I am one of those people who can't just go to bed and sleep. I have to read, or do something before sleep. So I have the light on for twenty minutes or so first.

Last night I was playing sudoku on my phone, and Dave was lying beside me, resting but not sleeping. And then he says

"God, whats that smell?"

I said "I know...I think there's something wrong with the fan, I mean we have had it on alot at night recently."

he shakes his head. "No...its not that..."

Well...after some investigation we found the source of the foul smell...

For some reason unbeknown to even me, I had put the alarm clock on top of my beside lamp. And guess what? Yep, it had melted. After some panic (its electric, I was expecting it to explode at any minute) we unplug it all and dave says "You'd best get that off there."

And guess what again? Yep, it had melted and welded to the top of my lamp. Its stuck to it, and it aint coming off.

Dave is thinking of having a plaque made, or maybe trying to sell it to the Laing art gallery (one in Newcastle). We once saw a sofa sawn in half in that gallery, and if thats art, so is this....

We could be sitting on a fortune

Heidi.....blonde whether I like it or not......out

Ohhh when Miss was born I had to go from breast to bottle very quickly due to medication i was taking. But we were so un prepared for that. So I sent hubby down the street (Christmas Day) to a chemist that is open every day of the year and stock up on a few bottles to cover us. He was also smart enough to also buy a sterlisation unit that you put into the microwave. Well being that it was cristams day and I had a 5 day old baby screaming for a feed, and rushing around I wasn't fully concentrating on what I was doing. So I put in the bottles and do them once. Then go off and do something else. Then not sure if I set the microwave I do them again. And yes you can imagine the smell and yes I too had a wonderful peice of art work.

So back down to get more. If Christmas isn't enough of a hassle with out that. We should compare works lol

Haha! We have the same natural hair colour, no-one knew what I was on about when I said my hair looked grey in some lights, glad I've found someone who shares my perception on this one! I want to dye my hair dark brown myself, just everyone says "Eww, no, you'll look gothic!" or some shit like that.. I disagree, but one day.. :)

Hmm, melted alarm clock. Wouldn't imagine that would smell much good.

KP - we should compare, yeah! We could set up an international art gallery - sad thing is, there are probably people who really would pay to see it! hehe x

Mezlie - my hair was that dark blonde, I used to call it 'dirty blonde' and I always hated it...so glad I dyed it, I say go for it, if you want to, but be sure...its hard to keep it dark and the roots aint pretty, they really are grey! :-)

And nope...it really did not smell good, lol x Can still smell the melted plastic now! LOL x
