| The morning after the night before

I made it to half time (I think) of the Superbowl last night, which took me through to 1am. I vaguely remembering there being a band in the middle of a heart (tell me did I imagine that?) and then I woke up and it was 7am, time to get sorted for college.
I put Sky Sports news on and wished I hadn't when I discovered the Patriots had lost. Ouch.
I waited until about 11ish before I rang David, figuring that he would still be asleep, or hung over or pretty depressed, but he was still pretty unbeat and hyper, much like he was last night. He told me it was a great night and a great game, though what I saw of it was a million miles from exciting (probably because I didn't get it...and I thought the off side rule was confusing).
Anyhoo...the main thing is he's not utterly devastated, he had a fun night, which is what I wanted for him, and in SEVEN days from now, I will be on a train headed up to Newcastle for another wonderful week with the man of my dreams.
Life is pretty damn good.
Oh yeah and I guess I have to say it...congrats to the NEW YORK GIANTS xxx nice one, lol xxx |

Yeah...the game didn't really get exciting until the fourth quarter...and then it looked like that Pats were going to win until like 3 minutes left...it was harrowing. But really well played. I only kind of know about American football...but the hubby and I went to my brother's superbowl party. I'm glad that David's not too depressed about the loss.
Have fun on your trip!
Also...for curiosity's sake...has your period come yet? I'm dying to know if you're pregnant...lol

You did not imagine the band in the middle of the heart ... That would be Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. The game was very good (and I don't even like football). Here in the States the commercials are just as big of a deal as the game. With watching the game and the commercials hard to get a bathroom break. Peace.
