At the Wakulla Visitor Center, we learned that some of the "Tarzan" movies of this 1930's and 40's providing Johnny Weissmuller were filmed at Wakulla Springs. Just across the street from the center, was a park with springs that was once very popular. The belief that the water would stop anything from headaches to help serious illnesses brought a lot of people to the area. Today the springs can be there, but all the bath houses have passed away.

Further with, after more scenic generating, at Bald Point Park, we stopped for our picnic lunch. The view was splendid! Often the squad car will sit beside the booth waiting for a call. It must be wonderful to live ordinary low crime area!
