I do believe that federal law does not overide state laws that allow for medicinal use of marijuana. We just made it legal for people here in michigan to grows ceratin amounts of marijuana for medicinal purposes and the feds can't do a thing about it, I believe it falls under the state's bill of rights, buit I'm not a lawyer.

Oh by the way JascieEpinn I do think you might want to research your information before stating that marijuana does no harm. Just as with any substance that is inhaled that contain hydrocarbons when burnt, it causes your lungs damage and it cause your blood to have low oxygen levels which if you deplete yourself of enough oxygen you will most ceratinly DIE! Marijuana also causes you to kill millions of brain cells as you get higher, and by killing millions more than the ones that just normally die off every day there is no way for anyone to gain intellegence from smoking weed. The only thing that one who smokes dope gains in intellegence is that they get to be smart asses! I myself on occasion still partake in a bit of the old happy weed, but I really don't enjoy it like I once did. You'll find out that although things are fun today, there will come a day when you will ask yourself---" what the hell was I thinking doing all that shit to my body" and then that's only if your lucky enough to not get yourself or someone else killed because you thought you could drink, smoke dope , and drive down to Taco bell while texting your buddies on your cell because you got the munchies. Yes, the DEA DOES supersede state authority, as it should. What we need is a change in federal law, not a state by state approach.
