 Part of Life
I went out with some friends, on a Friday night. We all saw a movie, everything seemed all right. We were walking down the street, when we heard a bang. Then the blood in my body, started to drain. I fell to the pavement, with pain in my chest. Knowing soon my body, would be layed to rest. I'm lying on my back, chocking on my blood. Wondering if help, is ever going to come. I hear a faint siren, not knowing if its near. Hoping they knew, I was lying here. I look at my friends, with tears in thier eyes. Hearing them softly say, "No Shane please don't die" I feel the paramedics, knelt by my side. Faintly hearing them say. "Your friend won't survive." I was shot for not reason, just out of spit. Because to them being gay, just wasn't right. This is a poem that I wrote when i ws 17, and its been my pride and joy. Actually ended up getting my name out there and getting it published. Please comment would be highly appriciated. Shane
