I know it is a very childish thing to do, but I have always loved creating Christmas wish lists. Yep, I know Santa isn't really coming, and there is no way I could ever have all the things I list. But, it makes me take time out, and consider what is good in my life already, and what might improve it.

Some of my ideas are simply random thoughts that are totally unrealistic. Some of my wishes are for personal improvement, things I can give myself. Other wishes are.. well... for others, and some are simply things I think I would like!

Here in no particular order then are my Christmas wishes...

Before I begin though, let me state, for the record, that yes of course I would like peace on earth, an end to world hunger, no disasters etc etc. Even I know those things are more important than little old me. but they aren't in the spirit of my wish list (and they should simply be everyone's wishes anyway, and if we all wished hard enough maybe they would come true!).

So let's begin;

1. Well, I wish my Dad would get a hobby! I know this is a daft one, but I do worry about him getting older and not using both his brain and his body enough!

2. I would love a Kindle 4. The thing is, I really would like an iPad (well who wouldn't) but they are soooo expensive. So a $250 version seems like a great compromise. So its a little smaller, but it does all the same stuff right?

3. I wish I will stick to my new healthy eating plan AND fitness program. The diet is going well, but exercise is something I have always been a little shy of. I am trying very hard to improve on this, and get more active, and regimented about my push-ups, chin-ups and dog-walking. I hope I achieve a stronger more healthy body, I really do!

4. I really hope my work goes as well as I think it will. It feels great to be achieving something and important to continue creating my own work, rather than simply doing what someone else asks me too.

5. I wish for the dream-house in the country. I know we all do, but I am getting closer to achieving this, and I intend to get their this year or next.

6. I want a personal assistant to work out what shoes I should be wearing this season (and perhaps to teach me just how to work in heels without looking like a duck!).

7. Finally I want my 20 year old car to survive another winter!

There - that was fun, everyone should try a Christmas wish list. No more than 7 things, so you really have to consider just what is important to you. And like I say health for family friends, the world and earth all go without saying!
