 Reflection 2
Last week, I watched the movie Schindler's List for the first time for a project for class. There are many thoughts that I had during this movie. I think Oskar Schindler was a very kind-hearted man because he wanted to help out the Jewish people who were going to be sent away or put to death by the Nazis in Germany. He opened up a pot making shop and employed many Jews to work for him. He also made a list of people who were to go to a factory to work until the end of the war. When the war was over, he let all the Jews know they were free, and he was fleeing because they were looking for him. The Nazis were very hostile, and they treated the Jewish people with disrespect and acted like the Jews were animals with no feelings. They shot people in front of their family and friends with no remorse at all. They confiscated the personal items and luxuries to give them to their own families. After watching the movie, I felt that the Jewish people who were still alive were very humble because they were able to live, and they thanked Schindler for sparing their lives.  Overall, I think it is a great movie to watch because it gives you a look at how the Holocaust actually was during that time.
