| Sitting in the hospital |
My doctor had me go to the hospital yesterday for blood work, x rays, and an exam. I was still in pain, tired, and wasn't sure what was going on. So yesterday (Monday) I headed to the hospital for a few hours.
They found that I was dangerously anemic and had very low potassium. So, my doctor ordered a blood transfusion for me today (Tuesday) so I'm sitting here in the hospital thankful to be getting someones (actually probably several peoples) O+ blood.
It's kind of weird to see blood going into you. They drip it in very slowly over 4 hours.
They said I should feel better pretty quickly which is good. But I'm currently extremely bloated and look like I'm 4 months pregnant. My underwear hurts!
I'm hoping this transfusion will help me to get as much energy as I can going into Halloween (AKA- the craziest day in first grade!) and have enough energy left over for chemo on Friday.
I'll keep you posted on how I feel after the transfusion.
