 No chemo as planned
Today did not go as planned.

I arrived at the hospital for blood work and my normal exam around 7:30am.  After talking to my doctor about not eating anything substantial, not keeping any fluids down, and getting very little sleep because of the pain in the past eleven days he decided we should postponed the fifth chemo.

He had me admitted to the hospital, which was actual quick, and I was in my hospital bed by 10:30am.  They immediately hooked me up to an I.V. for fluids and had me rest.  They ordered a CAT scan and came and got me around 3:30pm.  The CAT scan went smoothly although I had to drink a huge container of Barium. YUCK!  I spent the next few hours throwing-up on and off, which was no fun.  I think my teeth lost all of their enamel.  They decided to keep me over night and I've enjoyed my revolving door of roommates.

For the pain, my doctor prescribed morphine and to help me sleep, he prescribed ambian.  I'm still burping up stuff so I'm finding it hard to get comfortable.

My doctor is stopping by during rounds tomorrow (Saturday) morning to review my scans and hopefully figure out what is going on.  Their is a chance I may have to stay a second night but I will know more tomorrow.  We will hopefully get a lot more information tomorrow (Saturday) and I will keep everyone posted.  I apologize for not being able to respond to e-mails, voice mails, or text messages but I'm extremely tired and saving my energy up.

Keep up the prayers, we really appreciate it.
Love Erika

I sure hope they are giving you the Rock Star treatment there, or your personal ASS kicker will have to take care of business. I am sure the hospital is the last place you want to be, however, they will, and at this point must at least make you comfortable and rid you of the pain that you have been enduring these last couple of weeks. You are truly amazing, awesome, astonishing, astounding, fabulous, fantastic, fantastical, incredible, marvelous, miraculous, phenomenal, prodigious, stupendous, unbelievable, wonderful, wondrous. Praying for comforting news from your doc, your comfort and of course December 4th!
Love ya kiddo!
