Ive recently been in chicago, the windy city for the 100 th time or so :) The city never stop to impress me. I flew in from stockholm, sweden with a connecting flight in zurich,switzerland...The trip didnt start as good as it should with a flight delay...Okok...i told myself that its not a big deal until we finally got to zurich where they announced in the airplane that its not sure the flight to chicago will wait too long for connecting passengers...huh, why? so i got off the bloody stockholm flight and looked at the screens to so where the gate to chicago were at..At my surprise it was in terminal H, and at this point i were at A, meaning 20 min walk! How could we manage to get ourselfes there in less then 15 min when our flight was suppose to leave? Unbelieveable....anyway, we were running like crazy and got to the security check...finally there we were in a rush with a line with at least 50 people in...now what? Stressed out and the sweat start to show up :) I passed the passport check and were the last passenger to arrive at the gate. God were with me at this moment, I MADE IT! Trying to breath i boarded the aircraft seeing that every seat is taken, not a good sign for a 10 hour flight....looking for my seat 37 A....walking walking...people are looking at me like i was quilty as charged...tihii.....i reached my seat, a nice seat next to the window, but.....there is a big but...the man sitting on 37 B wasnt built to sit in economy class, and specially not in one seat...i almost started to cry ...stressed out, imagined how to flight would be sitting next to this man...Okok....i sat down, mumbling for myself...and i wasnt happy with the situation...and there wasnt any possibility to change seat when the flight was full...., so i had to deal with it....after maximum 5 min the man feel asleep....snoring like i never heard anyone do before...i bet the whole plane heard it...oh no, we were not even in the air yet...and it was like this for 10 hours, i couldnt even went to the restroom because he didnt woke up when i poked him, unbelieveable...anyway, that wasnt my point today, i wanted to tell you all how fantastic the city of chicago is... i left the airport with a cab, i dont remember the name of the driver, but he made me smile and laugh after that horrible trip i had...we were trapped in traffic for a long time and we had some time to talk about all and nothing.. thank you for the nice welcome! at the hotel i met the nice lady, lindsay at the reception, she upgraded me to a nicer room with all inclusive eventhough i didnt ask for it... :) arriving to the room, amazing views over chicago skyline...i felt like home seeing these wonderful buildings..i stayed in the south loop so i had a nice view every morning when i woke up...i had some interesting meetings with good people, learning alot and buildning new friendships...
Now im back in sweden and already planning my next trip...
