God created man in his own image...?
Or did man create God in his own image?
Do you know that the teachings of Jesus were written by MEN approximately 300 YEARS after the death of Christ?
I find it so difficult to believe that JESUS TAUGHT ANYTHING ABOUT HELL.
To make Jesus seem like one possessed with the inspirations of fire….to make Jesus seem threatening and arrogant…”Follow ME or ELSE…”
To make Jesus seem vindictive if not violently threatening…..
Logic would suggest otherwise; Jesus was KIND, MERCIFUL….
Yet; Jesus WARNED (a threatening word) “Those who DO NOT BELIEVE; SERPENTS AND SWINE….”
Supposedly.
Anyone with any sense of kindness or MERCY would/Could see that HELL is a man-made idea.
To say that Jesus Christ actually THREATENED mankind…..FOLLOW ME OR ELSE..
WHY in God’s name would I or anyone ever believe, after being taught of Jesus and his FORGIVING WAYS, that there is an eternal, ALL-CONSUMING, UNFORGIVING FIRE that non-believers are consumed within….FOREVER AND EVER WITHOUT A SECOND THOUGHT? From Jesus?
From God?
No.
This is a theory unacceptable to me.
The scary part is that MANY believe in this concept. Brainwashed, threatened and controlled by a society hungry for money and dominance in a situation so unbelievable and extraordinarily fantastic…
To THINK that the WRITINGS of HELL are in the bible and could be ULTIMATELY REAL…..
After the proclamations of goodness and righteousness….repeatedly threatening of fire and brimstone... if the RULES are not precisely followed…what sort of common sense would this require to figure out?
Yet there are today millions of CHRISTIANS, Christ-Followers…..
Christ was NOT A CHRISTIAN.
Christ was JEWISH.
I refuse to believe that JESUS CHRIST the Prophet, used threats to provoke followers, to collect income for his own benefit and at the same time PREACHED GOODNESS AND MERCY and forgiveness… SANS certain behavior.
HUMAN behavior.
Why would a GOD program, CREATE mankind in HIS OWN IMAGE and then condemn practically every aspect of his/her behavior, following such Said CREATION?
Who or what would even know to compare to the behavior of a GOD?
Who or WHAT would even think to create A GOD IN HIS OWN IMAGE?
Who created who?

If Jesus really WAS the son of God, and he was sent to die for our sins, and he was JEWISH, does that mean that God hates Jews?

Hi Kelli,
Just wanted to corrct a few mythos regarding the Bible. The New Testament was written primarily by eye-witnesses. Mark, was a very young man, who was mentored by Peter, another eye-witness. John, a disciple of Jesus. James was the half brother of Jesus. Luke, the physican, was not a witness but had been touched by God and accompanied Paul...as did Timothy. The earliest papyrus frangment of Mark dates to 20-30 years after the cruxifiction..near the fall of Jerusalem. Pauls writings were earlier..and as they use some of the information from Marks Gospel, give an even earlier date of origin. Second, you csn read by artivle on hell, whgich is actually a very poor translation of the Hebrew "Sheol" or the Greek "Hades". Everyone that dies went to "the place of departing spirits." God does not want anyone separtated from him, but he allows man to make that choice himself. Love is freely given...or it is not love at all.

Eye-witnesses with a first hand experience, wrote about the teachings of Jesus, beside that, They were inspired by the Holy Ghost. Who are you going to believe, Man, yourself or God. Jesus loves us and died so we won't have to go to hell, but because He loves us He will give us what we chose in this life, Follow Him and go to heaven or reject Him and go to hell.

i read through your note..and there's a sense about it. I read your profile..and it's obvious, this isn't something you merely think about..Religion, God, life..you've defiantly done your research. And don't get me wrong..history is great. In order to form an opinion about something it's important to understand it's origin. And you say.."Christianity is full of contradictions" and i myself cannot disagree completely. I know countless Christians who don't live what they preach. But to generalize ALL christians is a bit overstatement. And to even begin to assume that even Christians can't mess up as if they live perfect lives, is down right illogical. If you ask me what religion i am..I could not give you a name. If you ask me what denomination i'm from i could not chain myself to a label. If you ask me to retrace jesus's steps from beginning to end and prove His existance from history, i would most certainly let you down. But if you ask me what i believe, and how i know God exists and this Jesus you frequently refer to as condemning, i would say that i have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and that because of man's natural sinful nature, my sinful nature, He has redeemed me and washed away all my sins..my past life. Not that i don't sin now, but the life i had before i called on His name to save me has been crucified back on calvary when Jesus died as a substitute for me. Because if He didn't die we would all be condemned to eternity in Hell. There's a lot more to explain, and you can believe what you like. That i am brainwashed. or that hell is nonexistent. But you will never fully understand until you break down the walls of defense and come to the realisation that God is love. Honey, He loves you. How do i know this? Because God is Love! And love is God! 1 John 4:8. Your perception of christ jesus, whatever you believe of Him, you believe of God. You seem to separate the two. Therefor your accusations of other's are most nearly pointing back at you. Your a hypocrite of your own accusation. I am not condemning you. Or judging you. I can see you desire to know the truth. And i'm sure you don't want to hear bible verses thrown at you, but the bible says that God, Jesus Christ and the holy spirit were one. But i can't help but notice that you are full of feeling. Aggression, anguish, passion...but it all boils down to one main purpose..a purpose that you have been born with. We all have been born with. A desire to know Him. God. The father. it takes understanding. It takes humility. You can have all the opinions you want. But this purpose will never go away, and you will continue to build layers over it as long as you resist. I'm not making this up. God, jesus christ, and the Holy spirit are very much real in my life and i would never just believe in something as a trend, or because someone told me to. I've experienced the grace of God for myself. And until you are ready to do so, He is ever waiting. And he Loves you. It may be hard for you to believe...or understand..or to receive. and whether you like to admit it or not, you Are made in the Image of God. You have a mind, free will, emotions..If you were not made in his image, you would be roaming around, just as animals do, or you would be a tree or a plant..But even creation acknowledges their creator. So i ask of you to consider these few distinctions. Ask God to reveal himself to you..His love..how He gave his only son for this lonely soul. He wants you! And deep down..You want Him too..You were created to.

liberated, to believe that a God is vindictive enough to send anyone to Hell means he is no God at all.
There is no hell. unless you create it yourself.

youmustbeontosomethijng, you are right, but I do not mean to condemn anyone, I simply for people to not hold so many convictions and to open theirselves up to infinity.
Everyone is entitled to what they believe and maybe even not because a lot of what people believe they were taught.
I want people to take from my writings what will help them not what might hinder them. Leave the rest behind.
Most of what anyway anyway is for me...rambling on in my mind as always...questioning everything..I think if we look towards God, then he is looking towards us.

First of all I refuse to give hell any thought of any sort of energy, it doesn't exist execpt in the minds of those who believe.
Second of all, Jesus did NOT die for our sins because if he did, there would be no thrat of hell since our sins ould have supposedly been done away with, but obviously they are not.
But if that what is makes you comfortable thinking about Hell and sinning, well, it tends to migrate you towards it more.
Positive attracts positive, negative attracts negative, the bible speaks so much of hell, almost boasts of it, but it is a mid-evil concoction designed for control of society.
I believe that every gets what they create, if hey creat a hell, then that is wht they get, either here or in another life.

:) you are definitely set. hell: i must have created it out of...the cereal i ate this morning. i understand what you are saying. We created a number of non-existing matters into existing matters in all our lives. For instance if you see something that doesn't look appetizing, and your sure it couldn't possibly taste good, and you bite into it, your not going to like what you taste. But i believe in something greater than...merely the destiny I create of myself. And if you Claim you believe in God, so do you.
Let me lay out some ground rules. When i say i believe in God, I know that He is my father, always was and always is..That the Bible, His Word, is Truth, that He gave to us to understand Who HE is and how to live without hurting ourselves and other people. That makes sense right? No condemnation, no rules and regulations, pure free will. It's our choice. Obviously, your sense of God is not the same as who He truly is...and i suppose you will reply by saying "Your God is who you make Him"..because you are to believe that i've created God in my OWN Image. But this couldn't be for the simple reason as this.I.E. You and I..were standing in the Grand Canyon."It's beautiful" i say. And you look at me..and reply "Beautiful? Are you kidding me? Yeah right. The rocks are jagged. It's dirty. The water is muddy. It's ridiculous! I Hate it so much i don't even believe it exists. No! It doesn't exist!" and you turn your back. And you can't see it anymore. But i'm still looking at the Grand Canyon. It still is very much there..even if in you head, it is not. Such is the matter of God, Heaven and Hell. It's hard for you to believe.. I'm sure. But It is truth, being that God is truth and His word and Truth and it is written in His word. You have issues with the bible, i know. But lets forget about the bible even now. Another Example. The wind. I can feel it. I can see the effects of it. But the wind Itself...i cannot see. Does that mean that it doesn't exist? Because i cannot see it? or merely because, i do not believe in it? no. Clearly that is a statement for a mad man! :) But i think you are much smarter than that. Because such is it the way with God, heaven and hell. You say hell controls society. As if the idea of hell would send a group of humans into utter repentance and except christ. This is highly unthinkable. It is not the conviction of hell that leads others to the truth. You seem to think that christians created hell in order to gain more "converts". As if it were some competition that they have more "followers". Hell, is no where in my mind when i think of God. And when i tell someone about Him, it comes up no where in my conversation. I do not chose to follow Christ because i am deathly afraid of going to Hell. If that was at all my intentions, i would neither be defending my faith nor promoting it. I would be curled up in some corner confessing my head off for all the wrong things i've done and asking for some sort of..permission slip into heaven. God does not need Hell to scare you into believing in Him. He is a loving God. You were Created with a purpose, a calling unto Him. You are already longing For Him. Hell, or no hell that is your purpose. And if there is a such thing, who would live to tell of it? But for all that is is worth, hell is the least of your worries. Let me explain something to you of the fact of jesus. Being under the impress that you are not at all well acquainted with Him, i share a few..not so secrets but corrections to misunderstandings. When it is said that Jesus Died On the Cross for Our Sins..that does not mean that sins completely lifted from the earth. Obviously that is not true..because we know what sin is. We sin. We are sinners. Jesus is a savior..not a magician. He died to redeem you..That means that..When you DO sin, because of his Pure,UNSINFUL blood, it has been washed away in the eyes of God the Father. Only of coarse if you want him to. If you acknowledge what He did for you. But that does not mean that we keep on sinning because we know that anytime we turn to God he will forgive us. It doesn't work that way. God knows our Hearts and if we truly love him and want to follow him, then we will learn how to live for him. That doesn't mean we don't mess up. Now i'm sure you have found many ideas in this comment that you disagree with. And...you can believe as hard as you want that none if this is true...or that this message doesn't exist completely. But like you said. Have an open mind. I certainly have considered many of the objectives you've brought up..But because of Who God is. And Why He is, who He is..My opinion doesn't matter. What is truth. Is Truth. And i can't change that.
