In the corner of my eye you appear
Somehow your shadow reflects the light
I see your form gliding within the thin air
But as I directly look, you’re no longer in sight
I don’t have to see you to know you’re there
I feel your presence inside of my soul
The eyes of my heart see you perfectly clear
And for your spirit is there I know
Every once in a while I get a glimpse of you
Like spider’s webs that reflect in sun so bright
Or the blades of grass that glow with dew
The sails of ships in foggy moonlight
You move like whispering smoke from a fire
Or cloud in the blue of a windy day
Lazily drifting, climbing higher and higher
Into thin strands that just fade away
You are the flowing of the sea and light
Like a breeze or windy gust through the trees
Moving just enough to catch my sight
With reflections like embers upon shimmering leaves
To look directly at you I’ll go blind
And see nothing hard as I might try
So I start to believe you are all in my mind
Until suddenly then from the corner of my eye….
