Everyone is looking for acceptance in one form or another. There is a need to feel a part of something--a place where you belong and you are welcomed. There is such a place and a person who invites you to be included in His wonderful life and the invitation goes like this: "Come unto me all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn of me for I am meek and lowly of heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." So you don't have to feel hopeless and alone, your needs are all understood by the one who gives this open invitation. You don't have to be afraid or timid. He describes himself as "meek and lowly of heart". Now that's someone who can identify with your fears, weaknesses, insecurities and failings. That's the inclusive--all encompassing invitation. Next there is the exclusive message issued by the same person: "And Jesus said unto him. I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man comes to the Father but by me." He has exclusive rights and access to the Father, and He grants it to those who come to Him in repentance and faith. He is inclusive and exclusive. His name is Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
