 I left a question hanging--

"Do you know what is the truth?"  Is a legitimate question.  In the construction trade, there is a tool named "The Level of Truth".  How interesting!  "The Level" its short name, which most people are familiar with, is a ruler object that has a little glass capsule in the middle that has an air bubble that floats when placed upon a surface. If the bubble is off center in some way, it is saying something is wrong.  Well God has given us humans something that can be held up against anything, to let us know whether it is straight or crooked.  Jesus Christ was asked "What is the truth?"  and we are told he did not reply to this question at that time. But in praying to His Father in John chapter 17 we hear him make this statement.  "Thy Word is truth."  Ahh!  The truth says that satan is a liar and the father of lies.  The truth says, Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life.  No man cometh unto the Father but by him!  The truth says many things on every issue of life.  The truth will always prevail!  Why?  Because God cannot lie.  God gave us a guide for our lives--His Word.  We would all do well if we would only listen to what He says about everything and live our lives accordingly.   The truth also made this promise:  "If you continue in my word, then you are my disciples indeed.  And you will know the truth and the truth shall make you free. " John 8:31-32

This blog could use a song
'Does anybody really know what time it is?' by Chicago
would be a good fit.

There's a test for the truth also given to us by Jesus
I paraphrase it to "You may know the tree by it's fruit."

Thanks your comments. Will have to look up the song you mentioned. And the paraphrase is spot on!
