| I Got a Book Deal! |
Hey folks, I am soooo excited! I have secured a book publishing deal, and am working feverishly to meet a deadline, in order to have the book finished by weeks end. It is a look back at the audatious journey I've been on, with a devotional implication. Tentatively titled, "My Life As A Bush" with a subtitle, ...And My Heart To Imitate Jesus.
It will be a (hopefully) funny and vulnerable look into the antics I've enjoyed, while I share the biblical lessons I've learned along the way.
It contains a challenge for each person to be transformed by walking closer to God, and being changed into his image in the process.
Jesus said, "If you love me you'll obey what I command." Then He added, "What I command is this, love one another."
The story of how I got the book deal is amazing. It all happenned in one week! I'm overwhelmed by the graciousness of God, to allow me this opportunity.
To my thoughts friends, please keep me in prayer over the next couple of weeks, as the pace will be feverish, but hopefully with a wonderful payoff in the end.
Other than that, my son Stephen is in a band called Generation Letter. They are a relatively new band, with their first EP out now. You can hear a sample of their music on the website HearItFirst.com as they are currently in a battle of the bands If you like their song, how about giving them a vote. I sure would appreciate it, and I know they would too.
