| CHOCOLATE! |
CHOCOLATE!
I’m JonJon Morgan and I’m writing this blog with my dad. We are on a trip to Hershey Pencilvania, on one of his Bush gigs. He’s so cheap! He told me he was taking me to Hershey Park, where they have a bunch of rollercoasters. Well he did but they are closed! What’s the deal man!
Actually, he thought they were open, then checked the schedule and found out that they don’t open till next week. But we’re having fun anyways.
The plane ride had several notable events. First, the guy behind me had a kid, his son, and the kid was trying to get out of his seat, so he said, “Stay seated or the police will come and get you.” Dad and I were quietly cracking up in our seat. The kid said, “What policeman?” The dad said to his like three year old, “The one we passed when we came on here.” The kid said, “I don’t want him to come.” It was hilarious.
Next we were playing Monopoly on his phone, and dad landed on free parking, and shouted right out loud, “YES!”
I thought it was funny watching dozens of heads all jumping up at the same time. Then when he went to open the overhead bin to get his computer bag out, it fell on the guy who lied to his son. Justice at last for the little guys!!
So once we landed we went to rent a car, and guess what we got instead of a Porsche or something, A PT. CRUISER. I was like, “are you kidding me?” But then we went to a huge chocolate store place and got some pizza and a ‘Joly rancher drink icy thing’ that was sooo sweet, I was like “woooow” We ate tons and tons of chocolate and, and, oohhh, my head….it was a chocolicious wonderland of chocolate and more chocolate. Then we went to the ‘Echo Indian Caverns’, and guess what, it was closed by one hour. I’m telling you, my dad has the worst timing of all time. Now were just chillin’ out in the hotel room playing more monopoly. Darnit! I landed on his hotel and went bankrupt! Ahh what ever, so he wins (for once).
So, OK Dad here. We truly have had a great time in spite of the park being closed. Jonathan is currently bouncing off the walls from all the chocolate. We get home tomorrow night.
Has anyone ever heard the actual story of Milton Hershey? It is so incredible! He went bankrupt three times trying to sell caramel before he got a contract selling his caramel to a German buyer. He finally sold it to people in Germany who were coating it in Chocolate. That’s when the lights went on for Mr. Hershey. Much more to the story. He and his wife had tickets to sail on the Titanic, but had to return home early.
His story is a wonderful one, worth reading about.
