My toddler is way too aggressive
He's only 1 (19 months to be exact) and he hits, kicks, throws things at people and is just an all around mean dude. The thing that makes it so bad is that he's really very cute. People are immediately drawn to him and he seems to know it. They swarm him at Walmart and start cooing at him to get some enchanting response. Boy are they shocked when he reacts with screams of NO, No, NO! and spits and tries to hit them. it's crazy. Now to be fair, I know he's the middle child and had to fight for his rights with my older son. Then after he got his position as the baby established with my older son, I had another baby when he was 10 months old. So, he's as mean as he is cute. Anybody got a meanie baby? What do you do?

we only have one child at this point and he is only 5 months, so i have no advice based on experience. however, i would suggest logically to buy a book, or go to the library to rent a video, or contact the country to see of they offer free parenting courses for this type of behavior. i am sure the information is out there. you just need to go looking for it in the right places. good luck!

I have a similar child...my daughter is 2 years old and mean as all out doors. She's also very cute and like your son, people want to talk and touch her (they think her skin is beautiful). But what they get is rolling eyes and snatching her arms or her asking why are they touching me (I can understand the not wanting to be touched), but she doesn't have to be so mean about it. As far as what to do, I just try to be consistant with enforcing that she not do that because it's not nice. She looks at me as if she understands, so I hope she will get a clue and just let people adore her..One day it might be a big break for her!! Oh, she's the baby of two older sisters, so she's use to the attention.
