This blog is just about the cyclone in Myanmar, the earthquake in China and the Tornado is the US. It's so hard for us to see these events as Karma, when it effects so many people. But the more and more we become greedy, lustful and full of hate, the more these things are going to happen. At the Buddhist Abbey where I live we are have undertaken to do the practice of Buddha Maitreya, the future Buddha because as my teacher says the world is just getting so bad that we need Him/Her to come now.
So if you are feeling down about the state of the world I think the best thing to do is to look at ones own behaviour, because it's our collective energy that is making the planet and the people in it dengenerate. And if I am acting morally and ethically there is more chance that I can come out ok in order to help those who haven't. We have got to get real about the world, it's getting really bad.
I read on this rubbish site about how evil His Holiness the Dalai Lama is that the "great Wicca" Starhawke thinks the world is a beautiful place, yeah, well I wonder what the people burried under tonnes of rubble in China think about that...
