Just have a good 4th and enjoy the moment, try not to think of Jim....ha! easier said then done. Maybe calling him and letting it "slip" some guy is flirting with you might be not such a bad idea. I think you are going to have a tough time looking at him face to face telling him how you feel. Maybe you should write down on a piece of paper: " I am completely and totally in Love wih you". Then when you see him, say you have really been wanting to set the record straight about something and hand it to him? I bet that would end up being a piece of paper he looks at a thousand times. Oh my goodness! That is quite the week! I am sorry to hear your friend is doing drugs, that is a very sad way to live life, hopefully he can get straightened out and hopefully him and Kimmy figure out they are toxic together. She should run as fast as she can from an eminent abusive relationship because that is where it is headed. Sorry about Jim as well, it sounds like he doesnt know what he wants. You will eventually grow tired of his games. I had the exact same relationship with someone a long time ago and was always confused and frustrated. It was the same thing the calls, broken plans etc. I know he cared about me but I found out he was seeing several other girls as well. I was devestated. I went through this with him for a few years off and on. He would invite me to his flag football games and I would show up and he wouldnt even come off the field to talk to me so I would eventually leave. I later found out he had one or two other girls there watching his game and so didnt come off the field cause we would have caught on to his little games. I swear everything you talk about with Jim sounds just like my guy. He even bought me a promise diamond ring and I later found out when he bought it he wasnt sure if he would give it to me or another girl he was seeing. I still have the ring and it has been like 10 years. I think you have to decide if you are willing to continue the game with Jim or move on. If you are okay with it and don't have huge expectations then go for it, you do have some fun together:)
