Thoughts Surveys
Which World Suits You?
If there was a world of the imagination in which you would be most suited for, which would it be? In which of these can you see yourself as a "costumed character"? [And, be sure you can "draw"(not literally necessarily) one up if the event arises.]
[This will help decide some things involving my interactive "mystery theater" game here at the site in my "blog".]
The Wild, Wild West
(cowboys, saloons/taverns, horses, natives, Mexicans, stage coaches, shootouts, duels at high noon, can can dancers, etc.)
Ancient Rome
(gladiators, togas and sandals, chariots, horses, etc.)
Ancient Greece
(same thing but with more mythology, spirits, gods and goddesses, legends, etc.)
Medieval Times
(King Arthur, Merlin, Robin Hood, Guinevere, knights, dragons, monsters, magic, chivalry, traveling minstrels, etc.)
Underwater/Atlantis
(mermaids, talking fish, sea castles, serpents, buried treasure, pirates, etc.)
"Super City"
(no, that won't be the name of the place:P)(superheroes, secret identities, a more "realistic world" with unrealistic/imagnative events, super villains, ?? etc.)
Just throwing these around to see what the majority likes to better prepare future projects here.

Why do these things never come out the way I type them?? The text always gets messed up.

The Wild, Wild West(cowboys, saloons/taverns, horses, natives, Mexicans, stage coaches, shootouts, duels at high noon, can can dancers, etc.)
I can do without the shootouts and duels, but hey it's a part of the Wild Wild west.
The appealing thing to me here is the lifestyle in those times. Family structures were stronger, and communities were stronger. Family roles were more Biblical as far as a woman and man's role in the household. I've often watched wild west shows wishing times could be as they were then. Even with the lawlessness and the plagues, it just seems "happy"

I'll comment~
Wild west~Not really a 'fan' of this time. Granted, love the outfits, but the rest...meh
Rome/Greece-Rome really took everything from Greece and gave it an easier name to pronounce. Have to say prefer the Greece to Rome because of that (more original). Plus with Greece the different areas all had a different lifestyle so there is a lot of cariety (like war-be a spartain. Like literature, be from athens).
Medeival-Like this era as well just because of all the...legends and folklore, and the outfits, and the way of speaking. Would like to see it more 'real magical' then what really happened (fungas in the rye causing the hallucinations). More of a fantasy twist then a reality, but keeping with the time.
Underwater/Atlantis-yeah, this would be fun, but I do love water/ocean. Not completly underwater though-like to move from above to below. But would be fun with the sea creatures and everything.
Super city-Long as it isn't like "City of Heros". Everyone having a superpower...meh. But some people having them but living with normal people-that sounds way more fun.

Oh my gosh, Heatherlyn!:P So, which is your pick?? You commented on all of them but didn't pick ONE(or narrow it down at least). You did make a few good points, though.
Rikki, the reason the Old West looked pleasant in those shows is because the TV show creators MADE it pleasant:P I don't think they had much to reference in regards to social structure. And, what they did have probably didn't look viewer friendly. So, they "cheered" it up.

Medievil, I would have made a great Knight. Courteous, chivilry-ous(?) and willing to stick a sword in my fellow man. Also I like the shiny armour. Silver I think, but you probly knew that, me being an Arian. I was told that was the age of Aries.

Hey you never said specifically I had to chose one! Just which ones I could see myself in...so pffft! ;)
Actually couldn't really 'decide' because I could see good points and bad in each one-and it really depends on how it's 'developed' whether it will work or not. So figured I'd give opinions and you could go from there.
Buuuut if you want to know I'll rate them.
#1 Greece/Rome and Medieval (tied)
#2 Underwater
#3 Super city
#4 Wild West

Yadokta, long time...
Actually, the Astrological Ages go in reverse and last approx. 20,000 yrs. So, as far as man is concerned, we have been around since the age of Pisces...an age of dreamers, romantics and artists...and have moved into the age of Aquarius since that hippy song came out:P Around the mid-late 70s.
I am not sure how silver shiny armor relates to Arians other than most Arians are soldiers of some kind(as Leos tend to be royalty). How can you be CHIVALROUS and then speak so casually about stabbing your "fellow man" instead of just an enemy?
Thanks for the ratings, Heatherlyn:P That helps.

The Wild, Wild West - I don't really see myself partaking in shootouts and duels at high noon. I'm more kind of in the saloon playing piano.
Ancient Rome - Like the idea of togas and sandals, but otherwise no.
Ancient Greece - This would suit me quite well. I've always been interested in Greek mythology.
Medieval Times - Er, probably not... magic sounds good but the minstrels would get on my nerves and I can't hold a sword to save my life.
Underwater/Atlantis - Would I have to buy a SCUBA suit?
"Super City" - Absolutely! I am fascinated by the idea of superheroes, super villains, crime detectives etc. I think I'd make a good superhero, I'm really brave. Or is that stupid? *furrows brow, strokes imaginary beard*. Thanks for the survey!
